Lingerie parties in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and all other towns and cities in Australia. Throughout the week ladies are gathering together in the comfort of their own homes to have an April Nites lingerie party. So it's very important that we have a strong range with a good collection of sizes and styles to suit all kinds of women and body shapes. The presentation and image is also very important for us. We want sexy lingerie, stylish and sassy with good materials, laces and fabrics to feel wonderful against your body. So when it comes to our presentation no doubt we need to be on point. Last weekend we started shooting for our new and revamped lingerie collection the ‘Gold Lace Collection’ that will be released in the beginning of October in conjunction with our new catalogue. This blog post details the events of the day of the shoot.



Well lets start from the beginning of the day. Preparation for the shoot started several weeks ago I like to be well prepared for any job. At April Nites we take pride in our branding and our presentation of our products and as director of design and photography it is up to me to see that we meet our standards. Test shots were done the day before to test equipment and get a general idea of the lighting set up I wanted to use for the shoot. I was happy and pleased with everything and confident that we would have a great shoot the following day. On the day of the shoot our lovely make up artist Elizabeth Crossley was first to arrive at our April Nites HQ to set up. Throughout the day she would prove to be a true champion, doing an amazing job on our talent. A true delight to work with and needless to say I look forward to working with Elizabeth on our next shoot in a few weeks.



Phone rang and sure enough we had met our first hurdle, our second model had to cancel due to legitimate reasons. One model down but the show must go on and soon enough there was a knock on the door and the lovely Olivia Ellis was in the building. Straight into the make up chair and our MUA Elizabeth was fast at work. About 45min later make up was done and the results were stunning. Hair designer by day and April Nites sex-toy super star consultant by night our very own 'Nettie' was up next to fix our model's hair. And in no time Olivia was looking absolutely perfect. Everything was finally running to plan and I couldn't wait to get Olivia in front of the camera. The lingerie looked exquisite and everybody was in agreement that Olivia looked absolutely stunning. A few technical difficulties but soon enough the shoot was underway.

I am so pleased with the results and cant wait to shoot the next part of the lingerie for our new catalogue.
